Description

ONE DAY TOUR FROM KOH LANTA TO KOH ROK

Koh Rok is located approximately 30 kilometers south of Koh Lanta Island, near Krabi in Thailand. Koh Rok is an island in the Lanta National Park, Koh Lanta district. Most of the area is steep cliffs, the peak is about 200 meters above sea level. Koh Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai, and several other islands that form the Mu Ko Lanta are part of the Mu Koh Lanta National Park. Koh Rok is a tiny island with the bare minimum facilities for tourists. Its less commercialized quality draws nature lovers in a considerable number. Its proximity to Koh Lanta and Krabi makes it a great place for a quick getaway. With no scope for pubbing, shopping, and entertainment, the island attracts less of the crowd wanting to party hard.

Koh Rok has been declared a part of Lanta Island National Park. Koh Rok consists of two islands, Koh Rok Nai and Koh Rok Nork. The island's side facing each other is the sandy beach, divided between two islands by a shallow sea channel. The distance between two islands is about 250 meters. For those who would like to chill out along the beach, there is a fine white sand beach extended from the head to the end of the island at the front of Koh Rok Nork. This beach is also a suitable place for those who want to jump in the sea water.

The island is covered with green forest. At the end of the rainy season, the water from the summit will flow down the cliffs, leaving white lines to the blue sea. This is also a freshwater source where fishing boats often visit. Around Koh Rok Nai, there are snorkeling spots, especially on the shrine beach, the water is reduced to a sandy outcrop.
